Marriage Continues to Decline

National Public Radio reports on a new Pew Research Center report that just 51 percent of American adults are married. Fifty, nearly 60 percent of 18- to 29-year-olds were married. Today, it’s just 20 percent.  The change is only partly explained by the fact that many people are waiting to get married longer.

“When It Comes to Marriage, Many More Say ‘I Don’t,'” by Jennifer Ludden.  National Public Radio, December 14, 2011.
